review AcoustiFeet ACF3007-25C
"The case feet are so often over looked in any case
but this should be high on your list ... the case feet make
a huge different overall and should be considered an essential
purchase... Acousti Products have demonstrated why they are
considered to be the best manufacture of silencing equipment
for your PC... " Awarded 5 Paws Down! - Walibe.Com

Phoronix.com review AcoustiFeet ACF 3007-25B
"Overall, these silicone feet installed great, didn't
fall off the bottom of the case, and a decrease in noise was
noted.
... Although we were a bit skeptical at first, we were dumbfounded
with how much of an improvement both of the items had made
on our deafening computers. Costing only a few dollars from
our friends at QuietPC, we see no reason not to recommend
such wonderful products.
Pros: Efficiently dampened computer vibrations, Easy to install.
Cons: None!" Rating: 8/10. [full

Extreme Reviews on AcoustiFeet
"When installed on the very noisy Pentium 3 system,
they seemed to work a treat. The system sits on carpet flooring
and the vibrations were greatly diminished. The sound of vibrations
could no longer be heard on the lower story and you could
only actually feel the vibrations if you were within 2-4cm
of the case feet. Testing the case on a wooden desktop, there
could only be felt some very tiny vibrations, definitely something
you wouldn't notice on a day-to-day basis.
...These feet are great at dampening vibrations."

[AcoustiFeet
(Model ACF 3007-25B)] "Well, I was skeptical,
but I must say... YES!!!! :-) The low frequency tone from
my 10k rpm harddisk didn't disappear but almost did! This
was a GREAT improvement! Amazing that something so simple
can have such a great effect!
I can't really say if any other sounds were reduced because
that tone was so dominant before. The loudest noise now is
the turbulent air flow from the fans (and the rumble from
harddisk seeks). The tone is very much reduced where I sit
in front of my desk. But if I go behind my desk, at the rear
of my PC - it's still there (coming out from the back of the
PC). I am unsure if it has reduced the noise from the rear
of the PC or not. I don't fully understand the effect the
feet have had, because:
1) my computer case is really heavy,
2) the noise did sound like it was coming from the case and
not the desk or anything, and
3) my desk is an old style rather heavy one, and also has
30Kg CRT standing on it. Also, the case still vibrates noticeably
- you can feel it if you put your fingertips to it."
Our Response: we think that what has happened
in this case (no pun intended - sorry about that) is that
the soft feet have isolated the PC case somewhat, and the
vibration previously being transmitted into the desk has been
significantly reduced - which explains the reduction in the
dominant 'hum' (which is a hard-to-place, non-directional
background noise). Once you fix one noise source others become
suddenly more noticeable - perhaps this accounts for the noise
at the rear of the PC!! Noise coming from inside the PC breaking
out of an air gap or hole (like a fan grill) may become more
noticeable if generalised background 'hum' is reduced.
Soft feet will serve to absorb (by damping) a proportion
of the case vibrational energy previously transmitted into
the desk/floor. A PC case is likely to vibrate 'to the touch'
after fitting silicone feet, because the soft feet have isolated
the case from transmitting so much vibrational energy into
the desk or floor, and the case is also likely to vibrate
more freely on it's own. Kjell Rilbe, Sweden
"They work exactly as described, there used to be a
slight vibration on the desk where my machine is sitting during
a lot of disk activity or accessing the cd-rom that is completely
gone, there is absolutely no vibration on the desk anymore...
I'm very pleased!" Tavis Ormandy, UK
"Nice product, I have been using it for some while.
The PC seems to float on the floor, much vibration removed."

"Make a good alternative to feet for hi-fi equipment
- also less expensive than hi-fi dedicated feet." Ian,
United Kingdom
"I use these on enclosures - absorbs vibrations nicely."

"It's surprising how much vibration is knocked out by
replacing the feet of any case." Scott, USA
As one user from the USA has put it "No case
should be without a good pair of shoes!"
